Enchanted V1Happy Holidays, indeed! Even the Grinch would melt at the site of the Enchanted Village just south of Boston in Avon.

The whimsical and  impeccably detailed outdoor Christmas display originated in 1958 outside the Jordan Marsh store in Boston’s Downtown Crossing neighborhood. Its site has bounced around from City Hall Plaza to the Hynes Convention Center, but now seems to have found a permanent home outside the Jordan’s Furniture in Avon.

This spectacularly elaborate attraction is perfect for children of all ages and adults who love the holiday season. You and your family can tour the Victorian-style holiday display featuring facades, figurines, and Yuletide scenes for FREE until January 2. After walking through the display, children will have their chance to pose for a picture with Santa, who is available Monday-Friday, 12-4 p.m., Saturdays, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. On Christmas Eve, Santa’s hours are 11 a.m.- 4…
