early1900s-bartenderProhibition night? Looks like Brookline Booksmith is pairing up with Union Park Press, the Regal Beagle, and Bully Boy Distilleries to put on Bawdy Boston at the ‘Beagle, a night in celebration of Prohibition times in Boston. From the event page: “Stephanie Schorow, author of Drinking Boston: A History of the City and Its Spirits, will share what she’s learned about the history of drinking in Boston, from the colonial-era taverns to today’s cocktail bars, giving special attention to Boston during Prohibition. Guests will enjoy a selection of Prohibition-themed snacks and cocktails featuring Bully Boy’s small batch craft rum, whiskey and vodka throughout the evening.” Looks like you can get a complimentary signed copy of the book, too, with your ticket purchase. Head on out in all your Gatsby-esque regalia, old sport, and enjoy! More info and tickets here.
